On this blessed day of Jummah, we are reminded that faith endures even when the world collapses around it.

SWAN’s journey in Gaza began in 2021, working alongside the Great Mosque of Gaza, providing food packs and supporting home refurbishments for families in need. From those early days, our commitment was rooted not only in humanitarian relief, but in preserving dignity, stability, and faith.

Since 7 October, Gaza has endured devastation beyond words. Our work has not stopped. Through bombardment, displacement, and loss, SWAN has remained present - supporting families, sustaining communities, and standing with the people of Gaza through the darkest hours.

The Great Mosque of Gaza was destroyed in the bombing. *Yet even in ruins, it had reopened as a symbol of unbreakable resilience* Amidst the rubble, the mosque is functioning again. Students are learning hifdh, teachers continue to teach, and the Qur’an is being memorised where the beauty of the mosque has been destroyed. . This is steadfastness. This is iman in action.

These contributions directly support teachers and students who are preserving the Qur’an under unimaginable conditions.

*Preparing for Ramadan in SWAN camp in North Gaza*

As Ramadan approaches, we are:

• Establishing a masjid prayer space in our North Gaza camp

• £150 sponsors a prayer space

• Distributing 1,000 Qur’ans to displaced families and students

• £10 provides one Qur’an

In a place where homes, schools, and mosques have been reduced to rubble, the Qur’an continues to be recited, memorised, and lived.
