Gift boxes for Muslim Children in UK Foster Care
£25 to gift a child of the Ummah in UK foster care
Fundraising Story
As Eid approaches, it's important to shed light on the unique challenges faced by Muslim children in UK foster families. During Ranadhan, many children in the UK find themselves navigating unfamiliar environments that may not fully understand or accommodate their cultural and religious practices.
Recognizing this need, we at SWAN (Social Work Action Network) are rallying behind initiatives such as My Family Group, Muslim Foster Network, and My Foster Family, who are raising funds for their £25 Gift Box for Muslim Children in foster care.
For children in foster care, the absence of culturally sensitive support can lead to feelings of isolation and disconnect from their identity.
The £25 Gift Box initiative aims to change that narrative by providing Muslim children in foster care with essential items to celebrate Ramadhan and Eid. As the Ramadhan spirit fills the air, let us extend our support to initiatives like the £25 Gift Box. Together, we can foster a more inclusive and compassionate environment for Muslim children in UK foster care, embodying the true spirit of Ramadhan and Eid.
