Pakistan Atta Project
£1030 to provide flour to hundreds every month
Fundraising Story
In Pakistan, it's crucial to address food insecurity among students from impoverished backgrounds. According to recent statistics from reputable sources such as the World Bank and the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, over 60 million people in Pakistan live below the poverty line, and a significant portion of them are children.
We at SWAN, continue to strive to achieve our mission of providing staple products to those facing food poverty. We have a number of ongoing projects across Pakistan in collaboration with GHRF.
SWAN's initiative, in partnership with GHRF, exemplifies this effort by providing 2200 kg of flour monthly to Jamia Manzoor ul Islamia school, benefiting not only its 1000 students but also local poor families.
Feeding these students not only ensures they have the nutrition needed to concentrate and excel in their studies but also alleviates financial burden on their families, allowing them to prioritize education over immediate survival needs.
By contributing £1030 monthly, we can sustain this vital project, helping students thrive academically and empowering their families to break the cycle of poverty.
