Empower girls of Palestine
Fundraising Story
Empowering Palestinian Girls. Changing the Narrative. Reaching the World Stage. 🇵🇸⚽
In a world where Palestinian girls are too often denied freedom of movement, visibility, and opportunity, representation itself becomes an act of resistance.
In May 2026, 10 Palestinian girls and 5 coaches from Tulkarem in the West Bank have been invited to represent Team Palestine at the Street Child World Cup in Mexico City — a global tournament bringing together children affected by conflict, poverty, and displacement.
For these girls, football is not simply a sport.
It is confidence, healing, leadership, and hope.
Many of them will:
Travel outside their community for the first time
Receive their first-ever passport
Represent Palestine on an international stage
Stand proudly as Palestinian girls in front of the world
Their journey has already touched hearts globally and has been featured in the award-winning documentary I Am Somebody and by Al Jazeera. But the next chapter depends on all of us.
Our goal: £15,000
This will directly support:
Travel and accommodation
Training, kits, and equipment
Safeguarding, wellbeing, and coaching support
This is not just about funding a trip.
It is about investing in dignity, amplifying underrepresented voices, and showing young Palestinian girls that they belong — everywhere.
This is Sadaqah Jaariyah in action: empowering girls, challenging stereotypes, and creating lifelong impact that reaches far beyond the pitch.
