URGENT WINTER APPEAL FOR GAZA

Families are freezing in flooded tents. We cannot look away.

Torrential winter rains have begun in Gaza — and the consequences are catastrophic. Across the displacement camps, tents have collapsed, flooded, or been washed away. Mothers are holding newborn babies wrapped in wet blankets. Children are sleeping on mud-soaked ground. Families have no heating, no warm clothing, and no protection from the cold winds sweeping through the camps. More than 1.5 million people are living in makeshift tents, many torn, leaking, and unable to withstand the storms. 1. Weather-proof, durable tentsMost tents in Gaza are made from thin plastic sheets that collapse in rain.A proper, winter-resistant tent now costs £950 due to severe shortages.We must replace unsafe shelters before the next storm hits.

2. Winter blankets & insulated beddingChildren are sleeping on wet sand and mud.Thick, thermal blankets and warm bedding can prevent hypothermia.

3. Heating fuel: firewood or gasFamilies are burning rubbish to stay warm — releasing toxic fumes.Safe fuel is essential for cooking, boiling water and preventing deadly cold.

4. Warm clothing, baby clothing & formula milkNewborns and infants are at extreme risk.Many mothers are unable to breastfeed due to malnutrition and trauma.Warm clothing and milk can be the difference between life and death.
