A School for 1080 Children
The Emergency Tent School is a rapid-response education programme that will provide safe, structured learning for 1,080 children in Jabalia, North Gaza, where years of conflict have left the education system in crisis. With the vast majority of schools damaged or destroyed, hundreds of thousands of children have been deprived of their right to education and the stability that a school environment provides.Over July 2026 of the construction phase, the project will establish four purpose-built tent classrooms equipped with furniture, learning materials, and essential sanitation facilities.
Alongside quality teaching, the programme will provide psychosocial support to help children cope with the trauma of conflict, creating a safe environment where they can learn, build friendships, and regain a sense of normality and hope. By combining education, protection, and emotional wellbeing, the Emergency Tent School is investing in the future of Gaza's children and ensuring that an entire generation is not left behind.
Summer In Gaza Tent School
The school will serve 1,080 vulnerable children (Grades 1-4) over 12 months, utilising a double-shift system to maximise reach. By integrating formal curriculum with psychosocial support, the school acts as a sanctuary for recovery.
- Target Group:Primary stage (Grades 1 to 4), both boys and girls.
- Total Number of Beneficiaries:1,080 students.
- Operating Schedule:6 days per week
- Capacity:4 classrooms, each accommodating 45 students.
- Per 4-Month Cycle:360 students (180 girls in the morning shift; 180 boys in the afternoon shift).
- Annual Impact:3 cycles of 360 students = 1,080 total students.

An Important Update
The area for our Summer in Gaza tent school has now been cleared.
This means we can begin the next stage of the project-creating classrooms where children in Gaza can access education in a safe learning environment.
